CIPE Helps Yemeni Private Sector Take an Active Role in Post-Conflict Reconstruction

With a UN-facilitated peace negotiations between Houthis and the Yemeni government moving ahead, the focus has turned to post-conflict reconstruction and revitalization of Yemen's flagging economy.

CIPE's partner the Economic Reform Taskforce (ERT) has been working throughout the conflict to provide humanitarian relief, restore economic institutions like the banking sector, and build support for peace. At a recent roundtable meeting in Dubai with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and experts from around the region, the ERT made its case for a strong private sector role in post-conflict Yemen.
